"His Mercy Endures Forever"

Mercy: The discretionary power of a judge to pardon someone to mitigate punishment especially to send to prison rather than invoke the death penalty.

This is mercy. And God did this for us.

He sent his Son down not to save us because we've done something to receive his approval to be gifted with salvation, but he sent him out of mercy. That is how much God loves us. All of us where destined to go to hell. As long as we were sinners, we would not be able to spend time with Christ. And because we sin, our ultimate punishment is death. Eternal life is ours because we believe he is merciful.

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23

now, many people confuse MERCY with GRACE a lot of times. Here's the difference.

"Mercy is witholding something you deserve, while Grace is giving something you dont deserve."

God demonstrates this COMPLETELY.

Mercy. he is merciful because he gives us hope and the chance to turn away, repent, and escape the grasp of eternal death (hell) which is something we should deserve for our unholy actions.

Grace. as stated, we all deserve death, an eternal lifetime in hell, yet here we are, as followers of Christ, we believe and he has granted us eternal life and salvation. Something that was never in our reach, but has been gifted to us through the Son's death on the cross.

We have to be so thankful and realize how much he loves and cares for us. He's a merciful, graceful God.

verse of the night: Number 14:18
18 'The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.'
