Always

have hope. be thankful. pray. rejoice. in all circumstances. The past while, i've felt like i've always been reminded of this. To rejoice, to always be thankful. But this devo has reminded me to always have hope. "REJOICE In All Circumstances" This one is pretty awkward and odd sometimes. First you may be thinking, in ALL circumstances? yes. in ALL circumstances. Whether it may be if someone stole your ipod, to failing a test, or winning a race to getting a new phone. We must always learn to rejoice. Praise God. All this happened for a reason. It is God's will. For instance, recently i've learnt that i was supposed to have an older brother, but due to a miscarriage, he was lost. I dont know about my parents, but if it was me, i know it'd be pretty darn hard to rejoice. You'd be thinking, what is there to rejoice about? I really dont know. But sometimes you gotta think real hard. Or maybe you have to wait it out. God has a reason behind it, and you

A Call To Anguish

Image
I was sent this today by my good good friend. How convicting it was. The Call to Anguish - David Wilkerson And I look at the whole religious scene today and all I see are the inventions and ministries of man and flesh. It’s mostly powerless. It has no impact on the world. And I see more of the world coming into the church and impacting the church, rather than the church impacting the world. I see the music taking over the house of God. I see entertainment taking over the house of God. An obsession with entertainment in God’s house. A hatred of correction and a hatred of reproof. Nobody wants to hear it any more. Whatever happened to anguish in the house of God? Whatever happened to anguish in the ministry? It’s a word you don’t hear in this pampered age. You don’t hear it. Anguish means extreme pain and distress. The emotions so stirred that it becomes painful. Acute deeply felt inner pain because of conditions about you, in you, or around you. Anguish. Deep pain. Deep sorro

Live & Praise

Image
Indulge in the Lord. Make him your drug. Get addicted. Get obsessed. This is how we should live. We need to be constantly in love with our Lord, constantly be reminding ourselves of his greatness and love. May it be through speech. Through worship. Through prayer. Through reading. Through discussion. Through dance. There are millions and infinite ways of praising our Lord. There shouldnt even be a reason to avoid it. We were CHOSEN by God. To come into the world at THIS time. You were placed in YOUR environment for a reason. You were BORN with whatever you have. You were GIVEN all he has blessed you with. With all these gifts and his never-fading, everlasting, unconditional love, do we not feel anything? If you friend did the same. How would you react? He gave up his life for you. She shed his blood. for YOU. You'd probably be praising him no? So praise our God. Give him thanks. Boast about him. With every word. action. & thought. For He Is Good. verse of the morning:

Destruction-Free

Image
"Don't ever take any of the things claimed for destruction" As Christians, we must MUST stay away from the unclean things of the world. May it be non-believers who may be the Devil's deceivers trying to drag us away from the King, or may it be the many small temptations that can cluster together to ultimately bring one's downfall, we must stay away. Remember, we are just on earth temporarily. We live IN/ON the earth, not OF it. So dont fall into the traps of society and media. Follow Christ and Christ alone. Yes, sometimes it may seem hard because we're just living and waiting for God, a God we cant see. A God we cant hear, touch, or feel. Some may say, we're waiting for nothing... but we are. we truly are. We dont know when our Saviour will return, but we will wait. This is the true test of faith. Will you pass? Why must we stay away? and How. By God. Our lovely sunday school answer. God shed his blood for us on the cross for our sins. If we choose t

reminders.

Each devo i do, i always highlight the most important line. Usually its something that sticks out, something interesting, something that sums up the whole thing, but today, it was a reminder that i highlighted. The simplest point that we must always remember. Every. Single. Day. "Your Sins Are Forgiven Through Christ" The devotional today was again about the death of Christ and God's unconditional love for each of us. But instead of re-telling this, i'll share with you what i've learnt at the sermon yesterday. Firstly, death. Yesterday i was reminded that death can happen ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. If you're reading this, and you find yourself young, i dont wanna scare you, but you may think you may have a lot of time for your life, but you never know. Im not saying dont freak out, but just prepare. And actually live out the expression, "live your life as if its your last". While the earthly meaning is to live your life out, but here, i mean live it for

Acts 2:45

Image
just wanted to share my Sunday School paper with ya'll. :) Acts 2:45: “Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.” Would you say that this sacrificial giving and sharing is unusual? Why and why not? Why is this sacrificial giving and sharing not being practiced today? Or do you think this sacrificial giving and sharing is still practiced today? Why do you think the believers would do this (sacrificial giving and sharing)? If you were present at the time, that is if you were able to travel back in time to 34AD, how would you have reacted when strangers gave sacrificially to you? Why would you behave that way? The book of Acts explores about the history of the church, and how everything came to be. In this specific section of Acts, verses 42-47, it talks about the fellowship of believers; what the followers of Christ did for each other which resulted with “the Lord add[ing] to their number day by day to those who were being saved”. Waiting.

Image
we wait. we wait. we wait. everything is waiting. waiting on what? The plants. The animals, and of course, us, the people, are waiting on your Lord. We are all looking up to our Father, for he is the one that takes care of us. Learn to depend on Him. Learn to trust Him. He provides for the animals, and he of course will provide for us. And when he returns, we can say that we have waited for him, for him to save us. Patience is key. "but if we hope for what we dont see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance." v erse of the night: Matthew 6:26 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Gone Astray?

4 "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? Luke 15:4 Throughout the course of the Bible, the metaphor of lamb, and sheep are used often. And in the celebration of Easter, a time of reflection, growth, and celebration, we must reflect first and understand our problems. We are sheep gone astray. If you say that you have NEVER been curious and wandered off on all fours into the unknown world, you are deceiving yourself. Look at babies. Perfect example. They are ALWAYS curious of whats around them, may it be good or evil. And like babies, like sheep, we go astray into the depths of sin, away from our Lord, our Shepard. So where are you now? Are you next to our Shepard, with the rest of your sheepy friends? Have you wandered off? Are you lost? Where are you sheep friends? Wandered off or with you next to Christ? But the good news is this. That G

Just like the previous post. Going through life. Going through temptation. Going through suffering. Going through frustrations. Going through hard times. Going through sin. Going through life. As i said, going through sins are so hard. It causes guilt. It causes hate. It causes frustration. And each time it happens, you just feel HORRIBLE. But this week, i read something. Something that has changed my look on this. It was natural. Wasnt forced, just read and its been stuck, engraved since then. four words. God Still Loves You. I dont know. Twice this week, this is something i've realized and i've realized the massive SHOCK OF IT. The moments and time period of that disgusting recognition, this just popped into my mind. That he STILL loves me. no matter HOW gross i am. no matter HOW sinful i am. He STILL loves me. No matter the severity of the sin, even though a sin is a sin is a sin (but society just portrays everything differently), he STILL loves me. and no matter WHAT

to grasp or understand clearly. (dictionary.com) Today was a moment of realization. Going through life, remembering Christ's death on the cross, facing temptations. Today i fell into temptation but the worst part is that for the past weeks and months i have realized that i pretty much have all the power to resist and avoid it, but... the problem is, im not doing it. im clinging on. i dont want to let go. i dont want to completely go against it. Why is that? Why am i like this? The past month, i've struggled so hard with my AGAPE leaders. I feel like i've planned everything, i've done all i can do and the last bit is for them to do it. Do what needs to be done. Make questions. Make answers. Pick passages. But the thing is... no one is doing it. Why is that? It actually FUMES ME sometimes. Whats the problem? Its so frustrating because there's literally NOTHING LEFT i can do except for remind them. And nothing. It also sucks because i prepare all this stuff and... n

the best news.

This is the best news. This is will be the best thing you hear. This will give you hope. This will be everlasting in your life. This will save you. The fact that: God sent his Son, Jesus Christ. From heaven to earth. As a baby in a manger. To live as an example for all of men. To then die, innocently and free of sin for the deeds of mankind. To shed his blood on the cross. To heal the hurt. To save the lost. To bridge the gap between earth and heaven. To grant and gift us with eternal life. If we believe. The greatest sacrifice. What more can we ask for? What other love can be greater than this? Why do we fear. Why do we turn back. Why dont we believe. Why dont we trust. Why do we quaver, Why do we restrict. Why do we anger. Why dont we love. He is the reason. He is the purpose of life. He is why i live. He is the reason of Easter. Today i read a small convo between my pastor and one of his friends. They talked about how Easter is celebrated and misunderstood. For one, the easter

I have been COMPLETELY MIA for the past 2 weeks. And im so disappointed. Is it time for a comeback? we'll see. But today wow. totally matched. Exploring the fact that our relationship with Christ must be firm. FIRM FIRM FIRM. We know and believe that God will not abandon us, will not give us more than we can take, he guides. he loves. he protects. he strengthens. We must stay strong in Christ. Learn not to turn back. Has anyone heard Gaga's new song Judas? Just by the name you know its probably against Christ. And i confess, the beat and melody is amazing and i love it. its catchy, and i cant get it out of my head. But im resisting and forcing myself to stop thinking, stop singing it. Because of its meaning. Its COMPLETELY against my belief. Just today, i sang Judas AND a few Christian tunes in the shower. All at once. that was just conflict to the max. But i can kinda relate to the song. But not in the extreme context it is in. It is extremely easy to fall back, and as sh

how many times have you seen this on this blog. do not worry. we need to always learn to give thanks in all circumstances. we need to remember that God knows what you want/need before you even pray to Him about it, and since he knows all, why should we worry? think about this for a moment. the creator of ALL THINGS, knows EXACTLY what you need and want before you ask for it. The almighty God that created our complex bodies, that created everything that lives and breathes on this living planet today, the master that molded the entire galactic universe. knows. what. you. want. Doesnt that just surprise you a bit? And because of this, we dont need to worry, we dont need to be scared. and we can face the future with confidence with our head held high. But when we do worry, its a sign of lack of faith, its a sign that we're losing hope. But they are tests of faith. And if we succeed and pass, we are refined as gold. we become new, we become stronger, we become better. Let God be y

From The Fire.

Image
what caught my attention for today's devo was the little phrase under each date. today's it said: you were like a burning log snatched from a fire. what does that POSSIBLY mean. i read. and found out. We are the log, that has been burning in sin (fire), and through Christ, he "snatched" us out from the flames of Hell so that we could be saved. Now, there are a LOT of logs in the fire. Some have been saved, but some are still burning as you read this post. And our job is to share and help snatch them out too. Every single day, as long as we are living upon this earth, we continue to fall short of God's glory. and sometimes we feel like we're still under his wrath as we suffer and go through life. but these sufferings, at first we trust ourselves, thinking we can do it. But as we go through it. as we learn, we realize we can only count and depend on God alone. He saved us. He rescued us. He's given us eternal life. But now its our turn. Again, snatch t

Take a quick head spin and look whats around you. Whats in the room you have right now. Im sure you have a keyboard. a monitor probably. maybe a webcam. The internet. speakers. a printer. probably a table for the computer. and a chair you sit on. your phone is probably next to you and you probably have a nice drink by your side, cup full or empty. lights are probably on. encased in a house. that means... heat. ventilation. washrooms. probably a bed. water available with a twirl of the tap and a fridge downstairs i supposed filled with foods. i can keep going. but lemme get to the point. You look around. Do you realize how much we have. how much God has provided us with? yet everyday, people are running around complaining about how they have nothing. Just yesterday, at AGAPE, we had a 30 hour famine, where we talked and learnt about poverty in other countries. I clearly remember a stat, that 2% of the world owns 50% of the world. isnt that just a bit wrong? God gave us all this. We

Light VS Dark

Image
try lighting up a room with a candle. can you find ANY darkness in the room? anywhere. The answer is no. Can there be darkness with light? Can there by light with darkness? No. This is how we should live. This world is pretty much a black room. Imagine a giant room that is completely dark. And we, Christians and children of God are specks, that shine brightly in this room. But when we look at these speck themselves, They are flicking on and off. Why is that? Because we fall into the darkness of the world. We must learn to have our light ALWAYS shining. We cannot live in both light and darkness. Is there such thing between the two? Light and Dark? You dont say... oh its kinda lighted in here. Or its.. kinda dark.. no. its light or dark. Although we do struggle between the two, God is right there. he sent us the holy spirit to guide us. The spirit is always shining, and it is the lamp unto your feet. It guides you and makes sure you dont trip on your walk. But if you yourself "t
