Lost and Found

"as simple as a hug" Recently, i havent really had a lot of... outline/structure to these posts. Its like free-write and just type whatever comes to mind. I've been thinking about what to write today, and a few things come to mind. 1. Counting my blessings, being thankful. 2. Friendships. The past few days at day camp and all, there have been so many things that im thankful for. For one, today we went to Ontario Place, and many many people freaked out over losing kids, keeping them safe, but im thankful that we were all safe. I also feel like today confirmed that my spiritual gift God granted me is caring. Throughout the day, there were three events that helped me develop these thoughts and finally got me to this point of confirming it. First of all, during Atom Blaster, where balls are thrown everywhere, shot, dropped, whipped, it can easily be a dangerous place. Looking back now, im really surprised that i was able to drop everything and go to a girl who was cryin

Proverbs 16:3

"proverbs16:3" Tonight i shall be writing on this one verse. Proverbs 16:3. It says, 3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. - Proverbs 16:3 As some of you know, im reading Proverbs throughout this month of July. One chapter a day, since it has 31 chapters, and let me just give you a quick thought. Im actually failing at it. I was a full week behind, and i caught up in one morning. But it was just reading. No notes, no nothing. It was hard to fully take in all of it. But during that like 7-8 chapter read, this verse REALLY stuck out to me. If you guys know, im gonna have to make a big decision for next summer. China Missions Trip + Korea/Japan/Hong Kong Vacation VS. Quebec OJ trip. They both bring their own benefits, but is this verse God speaking to me? "Commit to the LORD whatever you do." WHATEVER YOU DO. After a few days of thought, i think it means that through all our actions, do it for the lord, do it for his glory and

Watch and Pray

"always watching" Throughout the missions at Ouje-bougoumou this summer, different people got to lead night devotionals each day regarding anything. They just had to share something with us. The following regards prayer and it just really really really stuck with me. I hope to be able to work it out more in my life, apply it more and watch it grow through me. It's based on one word in this passage; 41 “ Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” - Matthew 26:41 This was said by Christ Jesus during his last moments with his disciples in Gethsemane as he went to pray. At first when i read this passage, what stuck out to me is "pray so that you will not fall into temptation". But that day, what our leader pointed out blew my mind. WATCH. There's a reason why God put WATCH and PRAY instead of just PRAY or WAIT and PRAY. The disciples stayed behind as Jesus went to pray. Why didnt he say WAIT and

A Salad of Updates

"jumble of updates" I know i know, i havent updated in YEARS. But what you're about to read is a mumblejumble of updates, thoughts, reflections, all compiled into one post. The past two weeks, i've been MIA because of my missions trip at ouje-bougoumou. In a nutshell, we had to run, plan, organize and execute a 4-5 day bible vbs (vacation bible school) camp for 20+ kids ages 6-11. Activities from games, crafts, snacks, bible stories and worship, all compiled. I went the previous year, and what an experience it was. Thats why im back this year to help out. Every year is different. This year, i felt like there werent that many memorable and eventful moments i can cherish, but i feel like i didnt really put myself out there for God's use. I kinda just did what i wanted to do, which... i kinda regret. I also didnt feel fully spiritually and physically prepared for this trip. Maybe thats why i wasnt able to be put into full force for God's using. Times of laught
