"Resist The Devil And He Will Run Away From You"

Thats the catch line of today's devotional and i have to confess its hard for me. And im sure its hard for many many people in this world. The devil has so many different schemes up his sleeve we will NEVER know about, but its up to us to suit up and fight no matter which direction he decides to attack from.

...11in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. - 2 Corinthians 2:11.

This was kinda described in the previous posts, but the thickness and strength of that armor depends on us as well. If you think about it, armor is made, lets say we're in the olden times, by hand. Each person makes their own armor to HOWEVER they please. They are provided the material, but it is up to them, depending on how much time they spend on it, and how the aspects and details are planned to put it together. All this requires a few things. TIME. HARD WORK. EFFORT. and HEART. Just like with our spiritual faith. Christ has given us the materials, the iron, the steel, name it, he's given it to you. Its the bible. It provides a never-ending supply of advice and guidance that can be interpreted in millions of ways in billions of situations. His Word is the material. But based on how much time you spend on it, the study and learn it, the tactics of the metal you're dealing with. Unless you work hard on it and have the will and urge to do it well, it will turn out well. Just with your relationship with Christ. You have to spend time with God to build the relationship; any relationship in that matter. Thats key.

I confess, i dont spend enough time on his Word, or with him in prayer either, and thats why my armor is so weak and fragile. But you can always continue to build it. Now, you wont get the point where its invincible, everyone will have their downfalls, but they best part of that is that there's in improvement. and experience. With all that you'll be able to fix that piece of your armor, make it stronger and better than ever.

But there is one thing that i was reminded of in this devo. Below in 1 Peter 5:8-9 says it all.

9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Sometimes i feel like im the ONLY one in the world dealing with specific sins. I think that many other people also feel like that too sometimes. Even sometimes if i read online, so and so deals with it.. sometimes i think that i just have to hear someone say it from their mouth, someone i know, in the flesh that is also going through the same thing for me to be like "okay, im REALLY not alone". But we have to realize that it happens all over the world. It isnt just you. So next time you shout to God, asking "WHY ME", remember that there are probably another plus million people saying the exact same thing. You're not alone. Remember that.

"Not Alone. Never Alone."

verse of the morning: 1 Peter 5:8-9
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
