An Ever-Changing Story

1 Timothy follows 1 and 2 Thessalonians, and in this letter, the theme Paul address is how true Christianity is shown; by lifestyles visibly and evidently changed by the gospel. As Christ is not physically on this earth, we, the believers are the ones whom Christ is shown through. Our actions, our decisions, our speech and thoughts, should align with our faith and what we believe in. God's power to change others is really magnificent and wonderful. I've heard several people ask about saying "can God really change me after all i've done wrong?" "i've gone too far, I cant turn back, God won't take me back", but the truth is, it doesn't matter what you've done, great or little in this world, it is all equal in the eyes of the Lord. God is patient and willing if you choose to turn back to Him.

Paul puts himself out there first and shares his story (Acts 9). He tells that he was the worst of the worst. He persecuted Christians, he was violent, he blasphemed, but it was by God's grace and mercy that had changed him (v.12-17). I think a personal experience or testimony is one of the strongest and most powerful ways to see God's work, when you share with a friend, you have to learn to be vulnerable and share something that brings it all back. As limited beings on earth, it is difficult to wrap our minds around the grace and love of God, but when it's brought to our level in a testimony, it's personal and it is that much closer and that much bigger of an impact.

God is always reaching out to you, he has loved you from the start, and no matter what wrongs you have done, if you are willing to seek his everlasting love, he's right there next to you, ready to take you back.

verse of the day: 1 Timothy 1:15-17
15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
