Simply Put

Its crazy how God speaks and works because just before my devotions, I read exactly what I prayed afterwards. Paul tells us that we were made alive in Christ in Ephesians 2. We are easily sucked into the ways of this world we live in, having our own desires yearn for the sins of the flesh, and being tempted by billboards, media, videos, friends and other influences. We've all sinned, and we've all indulged in such cravings, making us objects of wrath (v.3). We are fully worthy of the eternal punishment we are bound for. But again, we are reminded that a God who loves us no less has saved us because of his love and grace. It just a simple gift from God.

If you do choose to accept that gift, we've become apart of his household, his family, and his community, with Christ as our chief, our cornerstone, holding us up through all trials and storms (v.19-22). As a community of God, we are created to do good, to share his love with others through speech and through deed.

Thinking about it more and more, this passage is just put perfectly, and there isnt really much I can say on it. Take some time and just go through it, and really absorbing what God is telling you and feeling his love for you.
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, createdin Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:1-10
verse of the day: Ephesians 2:19-20
19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
