Endure ! - Part 2

28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34 You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For,
   “In just a little while,
he who is coming will come
   and will not delay.”
 38 And,
“But my righteous one will live by faith.
   And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back.”
39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

Hebrews 10:28-39

The great conclusion to this passage!

As we continue to face the trials and hardships of the world, there are many other reminders we ought to think of when we think of whether life is worth living, when we think of giving up, and when we think of the future.

In the first post, I pointed out that if one continues to sin, they will be judged and just as it states here God will judge us (v 30-31). On this earth, we as humans have no right to judge others. We are all equal in sin, and it is God who is the final judge. We will all have to go through it, but most importantly is that God will not look at what you've done wrong, but what you've done right. What you've done to honour and exalt his name.

Hope. (v.36-37) This is something we're constantly talking about. If the world has lost hope, there won't be any motivation left in us. Christ is coming back for us. He really is. I look to the sky and await his arrival. Many times, we may lose hope because it seems like he isn't going to come back, but we must hold onto his promises tightly, and be in constant remind of them.

Do not shrink back. (v. 39) Im not entirely sure of what this means, but i think its trying to say not to fall and stray away from the harder road. Build your faith, indulge in his word, and rejoice in prayer. Stand firm in your faith, do not let this voices and winds of the world tear you down. Those who have faith are saved. This is why we must persevere.

Endure this challenging life.
Without God, there is no hope.
With this hope, life is worth living.

verse of the day: Isaiah 43:2
2 When you pass through the waters,    I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers,    they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire,    you will not be burned;    the flames will not set you ablaze.
