Exodus: He Remembers

Chapter Six of Exodus continues to take us through the story of Moses. We left off where Moses cried out to God and asked why he didnt see any progress, God didnt come and rescue him and his people. But the Lord continues to command Moses to speak to the Pharaoh, promising that his mighty hand will drive them out to the promise land (v.1).
Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.
God remembers his covenant and his promises to his people. Just like the flood with Noah's Ark, he gave us the rainbow, to remind us that he will never destroy the earth again. And we also should be encouraged and reminded of all his promises. To never leave or forsake us, to overcome the world, the promises are endless! But the greatest promises comes from John 5:24. It says,
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judgedbut has crossed over from death to life.
Salvation is the biggest, greatest promise. If we believe, God will save. Everytime i look to the sky i remember and await his return, for him to descend from heaven, and rescue us from this cruel, dark and sinful world, to bring us somewhere better, where there's only joy, peace and happiness. Arent you excited for that?

Have you been taking promises for granted?
Take some time and reflect and God's love for us, and how much he's granted us.
Its endless!

verse of the day: 2 Peter 1:4
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
