Exodus: Frogs, Gnats and Flies

Exodus 8 focuses on the next 3 plagues that Egypt faces, from frogs, to gnats, to flies. They were all summoned by Moses, hoping that the Pharaoh would listen and let the israelites go from their slavery to worship God. But every time, the Pharaoh would say yes, as long as the plague would be taken away the next day. Yet afterwards, the Pharaoh would not keep his word and keep them.

Are we like the Pharaoh? I know that for myself personally, there are many times where im with Christ, but many times i am distant. I can most definitely feel it when i lose my routine with devotions and prayer with God. If i miss a day, or something goes out of balance, it throws me off and i can feel the intimacy lost with God. Its these small slip ups that cause us to fall astray when they build up.

Where are you with Christ?
Are you growing?
Are you falling away?
What will you do to sustain that relationship with Christ?

verse of the day: Matthew 27:33
33 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
