Misrepresentation

Do our actions support our belief and our faith? Paul uses the book of Titus to address this as one of the main issues, the importance of faith and practice, as well as belief and behaviour. It's one thing to claim that you are a believer, but what good is it when you're lifestyle does not reflect that accordingly? Whether if it is swearing, or self-harm, or in this case in Titus, false teachings, avoid these things! God is not pleased with people misrepresenting him and it does more damage than you think. Representing God in a false manner can easily have people understand what Christianity is about, ultimately hindering them from wanting to accept the good news as well. Just as it says in the book of Revelation,
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. - Revelation 3:15-16
God rather you just not follow Him at all than follow him half-heartedly. It's a good practice to constantly review and reflect on what you've been doing, questioning yourself if it lends to being a good and true witness to others.

verse of the day: Titus 1:15-16
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
