Gone Astray?

4"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? Luke 15:4

Throughout the course of the Bible, the metaphor of lamb, and sheep are used often. And in the celebration of Easter, a time of reflection, growth, and celebration, we must reflect first and understand our problems.

We are sheep gone astray.

If you say that you have NEVER been curious and wandered off on all fours into the unknown world, you are deceiving yourself. Look at babies. Perfect example. They are ALWAYS curious of whats around them, may it be good or evil. And like babies, like sheep, we go astray into the depths of sin, away from our Lord, our Shepard.

So where are you now?
Are you next to our Shepard, with the rest of your sheepy friends?
Have you wandered off?
Are you lost?
Where are you sheep friends? Wandered off or with you next to Christ?

But the good news is this. That God, our Shepard will NOT leave us. He has a good eye. He watches over the +millions of sheep, and if one gets lost he does not continue. He does not leave it alone. He does not neglect and ignore it. He goes and looks for the lost sheep. He goes. He looks. and He finds.

But now, as sheep, they arent robots. They arent programmed to go back. They have a mind of their own. God has found you. Have you found him? Do you recognize his voice? Will you return? Or will you continue to go astray.

This Easter, think about this. Christ died for you sins. He bridged the gap between heaven and earth. He gifted you with Salvation and eternal life if you accept Him as your Lord. Whether or not if you are Christian or not,

Have You Gone Astray?

verse of the night: John 10:27-28
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
