The Spider Invites You

Temptation.

Its everywhere. Its on the computer, its on the internet, its in your room, its in your bed. Its on tv, its at school, at the mall, or the pool? (the rhyming went well earlier) It is everywhere you go. Its. OMNIPRESENT.

Now the main misconception is that people think that GOD is the one tempting you. The one calling your ear telling you to do certain stuff. WELL. Scratch that. God does NOT tempt. Only Satan can tempt. The reason why we get tempted is because God ALLOWS Satan to tempt us. BUT ONLY UP TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. 1 Corinthians states,

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

The reason why God allows tempting to happen is because its a test of faith. This also shows that God changes bad to good. He allows the bad, but the outcome and result is good. To see if we can resist and trust God. To see if we can fight it back like how he did in the desert when Satan tempted Christ. Now you may be thinking, GOD HAS NO IDEA HOW ITS LIKE, well think again. Jesus faced temptation to the extreme. Without food for 40 days, he was tempted to eat, to bow down to the devil, but did he? No. he COMPLETELY resisted and the devil fled.

AGAIN, so surprised by how relative this devo was to me. The past few days have been FILLED with temptations, and unlike Christ, i couldnt fight back. But i think the phase is over now. ITS TIME FOR REDEMPTION. Are you ready to fight back?

verse of the night: James 1:13-15

¹³ When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; ¹⁴ but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.¹⁵ Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
