We Are His

Entering into Galatians 3, we're reminded once again that the righteous will live by faith and not by observing the law. For if we lived by the law, and that brought us righteousness and salvation, Christ would not have needed to die for us. The law is important though as it guides and shows us what is right and wrong which is a good foundation for righteousness, but it is only by faith we can be saved.

Towards the end of the chapter, Paul tells the church that we are all sons of God. We all belong to Christ regardless of race, gender or status. The past week I attended a seminar for our "Jesus Who" week, and the speaker said that we are all made in God's image (Genesis 1:27). We are made from God and we belong to God. We all ultimately belong to him. Whether believer or not, we are his children. It just depends on whether we've decided to run back to him or to run astray. He loves each and everyone of us unconditionally no matter what we've done.

verse of the day: Galatians 3:26-29
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
